Memory is not only a fundamental skill for drawing and painting, it also allows to unlock important moments and capture them from our own point of view.
We study nature and then we make it our own.
First we will copy a master drawing in its main form and structure. Then we will draw it again from memory seeing how much we can capture of the composition and form.
In the second half of the class we will study and image and then draw what we remember several times, noticing what we included as essential and what we left out as not.
The class is designed for all experience and skill levels. You will receive a suggested materials list when you register for the class.
The class is part of an ongoing year-long drawing course meeting monthly through December 2026.
