Upcoming Workshops
Spend 5 days traveling and capturing Portugal’s southern coast from Faro to Olhao, Tavira, Cacelha Velha, and Vila Real de Santo Antonio, where we will spend a day painting each place.
We will paint a wide variety of subjects, including towns, harbors, and characteristic street scenes along the way.
Portugal has some of the most beautiful Mediterranean light, perfect for painting vibrant watercolors and learning to paint a wide variety of scenes. November is the ideal time of year when there are very few tourists and cool, sunny weather.
I will be teaching together with artist Grażyna Ostrowska, who will be our local guide and co-teacher, based in Faro, where she runs Lighthouse Art Courses.
Cost: The cost for all 5 days is €980, with an early bird discount of €900 if you register by August 31.,
The fee includes transportation between towns, daily instruction, and watercolor paper for the week.

About Grażyna Ostrowska
She is the founder of Lighthouse Courses | Art & Adventure, a painter and visual artist born in Warsaw in 1972. After earning my master’s degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, she worked for many years in Germany as an illustrator.
Since early 2025, she has been based in Faro, where the light, people, and a poetic urban landscape inspire her work, including faces, flowers, and paints Faro in watercolor, acrylic, and pastel. Her work explores contrasts of light and shadow to create sensory, atmospheric scenes.
A recent personal project, 30 Days of Faro, focused on painting on location throughout the winter months. Other adventures include an artist residency A Luz de Lisboa and drawing for the Ocean (Goethe-Institut / CultureMoves Europe), and painting live during the Primavera Literária Festival in Faro.
